Trinity Collegiate School has received a $250,000 donation from the Catherine J. McGinnis Family Foundation. This donation will be used to establish the McGinnis endowment fund. The money will supplement the school’s tuition assistance program. “25 percent of Trinity families receive tuition assistance and it is a vital component to the school’s mission and commitment to inclusivity and diversity of our student body,” said April Munn, director of admissions. “Dan and Arleen McGinnis have been tremendous supporters of Ed Hoffman, the academic program, and mission of Trinity Collegiate School,” said Erin Meitzler, director of the Catherine J. McGinnis Family Foundation. “The school is both honored and excited about this gift,” said Ed Hoffman, Head of School. “This bequest allows us to continue our upward trajectory as the premier academic institution of the Pee Dee region.” Trinity Collegiate is a coeducational, non-discriminatory day school in Darlington County. The school’s mission is to operate exclusively as a college preparatory school of academic excellence, graduating well-rounded students of intellectual, social, and moral character ready to lead productive lives in a global society.
