Trinity-Byrnes Class of 2020
Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School in Darlington County graduated 59 students on May 23. Typically held at the Performing Arts Center at Francis Marion University, the ceremony was held on campus this year with precautions in place to keep the community safe. The outdoor graduation ceremony was held on the front lawn of the school. Family members who attended were required to follow social distancing guidelines. All guests were wearing masks and the school provided masks for those who needed them. The ceremony was also made available for viewing for those who could not attend via Youtube. Graduates were seated six feet apart before they walked across the stage to receive their diploma from Chairman of the Board, William Naso. Assistant Head of School Kelley Byrd praised this class of graduates, saying, “They were incredibly flexible and showed maturity and graciousness as we all navigated this historic 2020 graduation.” Two Trinity-Byrnes teachers were recognized for their service and dedication to the school. Bill Truman received the Love of Teaching Award and Jessica Iseman received the Teacher of the Year Award. CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS
