Three new schools in Darlington County!
Although this fact might have gotten lost during the scramble to reopen Darlington County’s public schools in September while still protecting students, teachers and staff from the threat of COVID-19, three new schools made their debut. The COVID threat forced the Darlington County School District to bar reporters and photographers from the school reopenings, so the new buildings in Darlington, Hartsville and Lamar went virtually unnoticed by the news media. COVID blocked the district from showing them off to press and public. The school district provided the News & Press with these photos showing the new schools, completed and ready for students: J.L.
