Teen shot; another teen held
A 17-year-old boy was being held last week in connection with the shooting of another teen in Darlington County. Authorities said the incident took place March 18 near Hartsville on Bills Circle. The victim, whose condition was not known, was being treated at a local hospital. The victim is believed to be 13 or 14 years old. There were conflicting reports on what led to the shooting; some accounts said the youths were playing with a gun.
