Taste of Christmas
Darlington kicked off the holiday season in delicious fashion at the annual Taste of Christmas dining event Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church. For $10, diners could fill their plates with everything from marinated pork tenderloin to barbecued chicken wings, served on the spot by some of our community’s best cookers. All proceeds from the Taste of Christmas will benefit the Children’s Christmas Fund, which provides presents for local kids in need. If you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation, mail a check to: Darlington Fire Department, 301 Orange St., Darlington, SC 29532 – and please write “TOY FUND” in the memo section. To apply for help from the Children’s Christmas Fund, visit the Darlington Fire Department at 301 Orange St. to obtain and complete an application from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Nov. 30.
