Suspect in slaying surrenders to cops

A man who turned himself in has been charged with murder in an April shooting in Darlington County, according to reports. Marquese Devonta Jett, 29, of 1240 Myrtlewood Drive, Darlington, was booked into the county jail July 7 and charged with one count of murder, jail records show. He is accused in the slaying of Wilbert Brown, 45, on April 10 in the 2600 block of North Governor Williams Highway.
