Street Crimes Unit makes arrests during traffic stops

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Street Crimes Unit conducted targeted traffic safety checkpoints on March 21, 2025, resulting in multiple arrests and significant drug and weapons seizures.
Deputies from the Street Crimes Unit discovered a substantial cache of illegal substances and a stolen firearm during routine traffic stops in the Darlington area. The operation netted multiple arrests and removed dangerous contraband from local streets.
Among the most notable discoveries was a firearm reported stolen from the Alexandria Police Department in Louisiana, alongside a diverse array of controlled substances. The seized items included 66.54 ounces of marijuana, 6.03 grams of crack cocaine, 1.92 grams of fentanyl, and multiple prescription medications.
Three individuals were taken into custody during the operation:
Joshua Donnell Williams was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen pistol.
Kelvin Hough faced charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Timesha Mccrea was charged with multiple serious offenses, including possession of controlled substances, illegal firearm possession, and multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute various drugs.
In an additional development, deputies apprehended a fugitive wanted in Florence City for arson, successfully transporting the individual to Florence County for booking.
Local law enforcement officials have emphasized the importance of such operations in maintaining community safety and disrupting illegal drug distribution networks.
