SPC Credit Union shuts down recent hack attack
SPC Credit Union in Hartsville has shut down an attempt to “compromise” its members’ cards. The company said it “pre-emptively detected the breach” that led to all of its banking customers being billed for a fraudulent $2,832 charge from “Voyager Estate” of Australia. The company said it will deny all these fake transactions and reissue cards to customers. “No money was removed from members’ accounts,” an SPC executive said. Customers can check their accounts 24/7 using the SPC mobile app or ItsMe247 online banking.
