Snowbound Darlington

A Thursday morning stroll around Downtown Darlington revealed the Public Square blanketed in snowy white after a couple of inches of fresh powder fell Wednesday evening. Several motorists were out, cautiously navigating the slushy streets as the snow began to thaw. SC DOT trucks were busy putting down thawing agent to help mitigate icing, but public safety officials still advise staying off the roads if possible. A mid-day thaw was predicted, and a potentially dangerous re-freeze was forecast for Thursday evening.
