Sheriff’s Office investigates slaying of Lamar resident
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office were investigating the killing of a Lamar resident early Saturday near Hartsville, close to a gas station at 5th Street and Highway 151. Coroner Todd Hardee has ruled the incident a homicide and has identified the victim as Mardrell Addison, 35. Some reports say the incident began with an argument at the gas station, but the Sheriff’s Office had released no details as of Monday morning.
