Sheriff’s Office hosts Youth Deer Hunt

Over 350 people showed up for the 2023 Darlington County Sheriff’s
Office Youth Deer Hunt Event was held Saturday beginning at the
Lydia Community Center with lunch and door prizes for the 192
children who attended and followed by the youth hunt.

“We had over 200 children to come to the event with their families. I
would like to thank Chief Deputy McInville and his team members
for all their hard work and those who volunteered their time to make
this a great day for the families of Darlington county.” Sheriff James
Hudson said.

“Hopefully we were able to introduce some kids to the great outdoors
today and show them there is more to life than television or internet.
I am truly amazed by the large crowd. I’m proud of all the families that
brought their children.” Said Chief Deputy Chad McInville
Darlington County Sheriff’s Joyce Everett and her volunteers served
chicken bog and vegetable soup to the attendees.
