Sheriff’s deputies seize drugs, weapons during search

On August 24th, Deputies executed a search warrant off I Street in the Hartsville area of Darlington County and recovered an ounce of ecstasy and an ounce of Methamphetamine. Deputies also found cocaine, crack cocaine, spice, pills, and around two pounds of marijuana at the residence. A Smith & Wesson rifle, SCCY 9mm handgun and a stolen Ruger handgun were also recovered. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing Narcotics Investigation.
Danikius Sutton was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, PWID Marijuana, PWID Cocaine, PWID Controlled Substance, Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and possession of a stolen firearm. The investigation is still ongoing, and more charges may follow.
The Sheriff’s Dept. could not release any other documents or information related to the case at this time. This is a criminal case that is currently pending in Circuit Court and the release of such information may hinder the investigation and or prosecution of this case.
