Scranton man killed in county accident
A 33-year-old Florence County man was killed in a Darlington County work-related accident Jan. 12, officials said. Derrick Allen Gaymon of Scranton died after being struck by a tree while attempting to clear a building lot on Rose Drive, said Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee. Gaymon was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:30 p.m. The incident was under investigation by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the Darlington County Coroner’s Office.
