Schools put hold on all practices
Beginning July 2, the Darlington County School District has paused all conditioning and practice for athletics teams and other extracurricular organizations, such as band, through July 12.
This decision came out of an abundance of caution for the safety of students and staff with the Independence Day holiday in mind, the district said.
School officials said they plan to resume conditioning and practice, following all safety and distancing guidelines set forth by the S.C. High School League, on Monday, July 13.
