Robert Williams receives endorsements in 7th Congressional District race

Robert Williams, Democrat candidate for congress in South Carolina’s 7th Congressional District who finished first in last week’s Democratic Primary with 41% of the vote, today announced two endorsements in his run-off election.

Timmonsville Mayor, Darrick Jackson, “Today I am announcing my support for Robert Williams in the run-off election. I believe that he is the best candidate to represent the Democratic Party and is our best chance to win in November. Robert has the experience and integrity we need with a clear vision on how to best address the needs of the citizens of the 7th district.”

Teresa Myers Ervin, Florence City Council member said, “Robert Williams has already been working hard for the people in our district as a state representative and I know he will continue to work hard as our next congressman. I fully support and endorse Robert.”

“I am honored to have the support of Mayor Jackson and Councilwoman Ervin. They have been strong advocates for those in need and I am proud to have leaders of this high caliber on our team,” said Williams.

The run-off election for the 7th district race is June 26th.

Robert Williams represents South Carolina House District 62 encompassing parts of Florence and Darlington Counties where he has been re-elected five times. Robert is a combat veteran with over 20 years of service in the Army National Guard. He is married to his wife Janice Ham-Williams and has three boys, Jacobie, Rodrick, and Jarell. He is also the grandfather of two boys and one girl.
