Multiple weapons stolen from local shop

Darlington County authorities are investigating a gun shop robbery that occurred early this morning in the Society Hill community.
Sheriff James Hudson confirmed that the break-in took place at 2A Sales, located on Hartsville Highway in Society Hill. According to the store’s owner, masked individuals broke into the business and made off with 12 firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
The owner stated that he attempted to pursue the suspects, who fled in a red Dodge Challenger. Surveillance footage capturing the incident has been turned over to investigators, including the South Carolina Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which has joined the case.
Officials are continuing their investigation and plan to release additional details later in the day.
