An arrest has been made in the slaying of a Lamar resident in June at a gas station near Hartsville, officials say. Deonta Tymaine Jackson was being held by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office in the death of Madrell Addison, 35, according to reports. On June 19, Addison was shot at the Refuel at 104 West Bobo Newsome Highway, according to reports. Local news media report that the death was gang-related and that Jackson allegedly taunted Addison with rival gang signs. Jail records show that Jackson has been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in the case.
