Man held as accessory in Darlington slaying

Police have arrested a man in connection with the May 18 slaying of a man in Darlington, according to reports. Nicholas Dishawn Johnson was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, jail records show. Authorities are linking him to the death of Rahiem Jaquan Fortune, 24, of Darlington, who died after being involved in a gun battle between people riding in two cars. According to published reports, Johnson in 2017 was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon. Details of those charges were not immediately available.
