Man charged in shooting death

At approximately 9:40pm, on February 12, 2025, Deputies responded to a call in reference to a shooting incident off Candy Lane in the Florence area of Darlington County. Darlington County Sheriff’s Office along with SLED worked to secure the scene.
As a result of this investigation, Jefferey Booker was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Murder.
