Man arrested in shooting incident
Oscar Pollard.
On April 9, 2025, Deputies responded to a residence on Mistywood Drive in the Lamar area of Darlington County in reference to a shooting incident.
Two Individuals were involved in a dispute, as a result, Oscar Pollard discharged his firearm during the dispute and fired one time, striking the victim below the knee.
As a result of this investigation, Oscar Ray Pollard was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Assault & Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.
Oscar Pollard is currently being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting his bond hearing.
