Man accused of firing shots in Hartsville

A Bishopville man has been charged after someone fired multiple shots from a car in Hartsville, officials said. Corey Ernesto Poland-Pritchett, 21, is charged with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and malicious injury to personal property, according to media reports and records at the county jail. The Hartsville Police Department said the incident took place in the area of South 4th Street and College Avenue. Police said an unoccupied car was hit by gunfire.
