Dressed in their miniature caps and gowns, four and five year old students attending True Saints Christian Daycare and Academy 4-K program, received their diplomas last week.
Many of the children attended True Saints since they were infants. From that age group they transitioned to 2-K, 3-K, and 4K.
Now that they have graduated, the students are prepared to enter school in the 5-k program in the fall.
In order to attend the free 4-K program, children must be four years old or four years old by September 1, 2023. Their families must also meet income guidelines; which are the same or similar to State and Government funding guidelines.
According to owner Dianne Rogers, True Saints has 20 slots available for students who qualify for the free 4-K program.
“The State is funding a special incentive for parents to allow their children to attend our 4-K program at True Saints Christian Daycare and Academy,” Rogers stated.
First Steps has an incentive program for students who are enrolled in 4-K at True Saints Christian Day Care and Academy, located at 428 Poole Street in Hartsville. If they have siblings between the ages of 6 weeks old to 12 years old, their application fee of $100.00 per week will be waived. The school buses will drop off school aged children after school.
4-K hours of operation are 6:00am -2:30 pm, however they may stay until 5:30 pm, at no extra fee.
True Saints is also doing their part to promote this free program for parents who live in the Pee Dee and surrounding areas.
They will be hosting a Free 4-K Kick-Off Celebration for the 2023-2024 School year.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 739 South Fifth Street, Hartsville; (Mary’s Bridal Shop Parking Lot) from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Free food and drinks will be served to families who enroll their children. For those who cannot attend, they can also enroll their child/children by visiting www.Free4KSC.ORG, and requesting their child attend True Saints Christian Daycare and Academy.
