The Latta Vikings visited the Lamar Silver Foxes Friday for a baseball matchup. At the start of the match, the Silver Foxes gained a lead of 3-0 until the Vikings were able to comeback and take the lead with 4 points. The Silver Foxes’ dominance continued when they took the lead again in the 4th inning, afterwards Latta began to go on a run. In the 5th inning, Latta scored 7 points to put the score at 11-6. Lamar’s Kendall Windham had hit a homerun in the 7th inning, but by then it was too late. Latta went on to secure the win 11-7 over Lamar. The two teams will meet again later in the season on April 24th.
