She came to Lamar to visit relatives, and she left $30,000 richer. An unidentified woman – described only as an “out-of-towner” by the S.C. Lottery Commission – stopped at a Lamar store recently and bought a South Carolina Education Lottery ticket worth $30,000. “It was surreal,” the winner told lottery officials. She stopped by Ken’s Corner No. 9 on Warren Street in Lamar and gambled on one $2 Money Mania scratch-off. It was a winner. Ken’s Corner received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
