Lamar holds Christmas on Main Street and Parade

Vendors lined Main Street in Lamar on Saturday, December 3rd. Officially marking the beginning of the Christmas shopping season, they offered goods from jewelry, clothing, arts & crafts, as well as a large variety of delicious food. PHOTOS BY STEPHAN DREW

Crowds lined both sides of Main Street in Lamar, awaiting the Christmas Parade.

There was also an “official” mailbox on Main Street, to make sure Santa gets every single letter.

Erwin’s Auto and Towing sported 2 larger-than-life figures of Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus.

Mrs. Claus arrived with Santa beside her in a carriage loaded down with gifts.

The Lamar Christmas tree was illuminated at sundown.
