Lamar having food giveaway
Free boxes of food (32 pounds of produce, dairy and meat) will be given out every Friday through Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Lamar Town Hall, 117 W. Main St. The events are being handled as drive-throughs. There are no income requirements. Social distancing will be practiced, and face masks are required. Sponsors are Save the Children, Lee County First Steps, Darlington County First Steps, Town of Lamar, and Lamar Ebenezer Charge of UMC.
