Kool Kidz Academy, a learning center for the very young in our community, will be opening soon. Located at 712 Pearl Street in Darlington, the academy is owned by Kisha Alston, who promises a fun environment for children to learn. The interior is not quite finished but, the bright colors just pull you in and calm you down. Alston was awarded a Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association (DDRA) Improvement Incentive Grant of $325 for the wonderful work she is doing to the business. The DDRA will provide up to 50% of the cost of removing or installing an approved sign up to a maximum of $1,000. Also, Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association will provide up to 50% of the cost of exterior painting up to a maximum of $1,000.
