Historic Commission and Museum announces gravesite discoveries

Brian Gandy (seated), director of the Darlington County Historic Commission and Museum, and Clemson University Professor Jim Frederick announce on Monday their discovery of a series of lost gravesites in the county. At least one, an American Indian burial mound, may be 500 years old or more; they also located an African-American burial site with hundreds of graves.
