Hartsville woman killed in car crash
A 43-year-old Hartsville woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sept. 29 on Indian Branch Road near Lydia, said Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee. Letitia Franklin died when the vehicle she was driving overturned, Hardee said. The S.C. Highway Patrol said a 2006 Volvo SUV with two people inside went off the road and overturned several times. Both driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. Neither was wearing a seat belt. The passenger was hospitalized; there was no word on his or her condition.
