Hartsville shootings being investigated
Hartsville police were investigating two apparently separate shootings reported June 21. In one incident, police said, shots were fired around the 400 block of Bell Avenue, with at least one car struck and the driver hurt by flying glass. Police were searching for a silver SUV, reportedly carrying two men armed with an AR-15-type rifle. In what appears to be a separate case, but one that might be connected to the Bell Avenue gunfire, a person on a Moped was wounded in a Sumter Street shooting, police said.
