Hartsville man one of two found dead at motel
A Hartsville man has been identified as one of two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide when officers tried to serve arrest warrants on them at a Florence motel. Donovan McMillan, 25, of Hartsville, was one of the victims officers found dead at the Suburban Motel in Florence on Friday afternoon, Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken told local news media. The other victim was a 21-year-old woman from Westerville, Ohio, the coroner said. Officials said that when Florence County deputies went to the motel room to serve warrants on the two, they heard shots being fired and found the two people dead. Deputies did not fire their weapons during the incident.
