Hartsville man held in recent domestic-related shooting

A Hartsville man was being held in connection with what officials described as a domestic-related shooting in the Pine Ridge area outside Hartsville Sept. 6. The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, has arrested Jesse Washington of 3041 Marcus Drive, Hartsville. He is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and discharging firearms into a dwelling. A domestic-related shooting was reported in the 3000 block of Marcus Drive in the Pine Ridge area, officials said. The victim initially was said to be in critical condition.
