‘Great turnout’ at Southern 500 golf tourney
Over 100 golfers flocked to the Darlington Country Club on Aug. 28 as the annual Southern 500 Golf Tournament teed off an unusual race week. “It was a lot of waiting around to see how things were going to go, but we planned and proceeded like (the tournament) was going to happen,” said Tim Huntley, Darlington Country Club owner. “But everybody has responded well and we’ve got a great turnout.
