Geraldine Jordan Moody
Geraldine Jordan Moody, wife of the late James Maxie Moody of Darlington, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at Indian Branch United Methodist Church. Burial directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home followed in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Timmonsville. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the home, 114 Harper Street, Darlington. Geraldine was born in Darlington County. She was the daughter of the late William Foster Jordan and Addie Odom Jordan. Geraldine enjoyed helping with girls’ softball and received an award for her and her husband’s dedicated and faithful service at the ball field. She loved her church family at Indian Branch United Methodist where she served in many different capacities. Geraldine also enjoyed taking trips with her brother and sister-in-law, Basil and Peggy Jordan. She loved life and left a wonderful legacy to those that knew her. Surviving are her children, Sandra Moody and husband David O’Neal and Randal Moody and wife Shawn, all of Darlington; her grandchildren, Brook Moody Gandy and husband Lex of Darlington, and Kathryn Moody Tarlton and husband Tab Jr. of Darlington; her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jamison Gandy both of Darlington, and Hannah and Kylee Tarlton both of Darlington; her brothers, Basil Jordan and wife, Peggy and Larry Jordan and wife, Marie; and several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tammy Moody; her brothers, Willard Jordan and Wayne Jordan; and her sisters, LaRae J. Britt and Doris Jordan Goodson.
