Genesis Healthcare was named 2024 Business of the Year at the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet, held on February 27 at the American Legion Post 13.
This honor highlights Genesis Healthcare’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare services that enhance the well-being of patients and residents throughout Darlington County.
As a Community Health Center, Genesis Healthcare’s licensed physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners provide comprehensive primary and preventive care with a focus on community well-being. Genesis Healthcare ensures accessibility and convenience for Darlington-area patients through a holistic approach to care, including pharmacy and transportation services through a partnership with PDRTA.
The organization is also a leading employer, providing more than 100 jobs in Darlington County while working in collaboration with local institutions and higher education partners to train the next generation of healthcare workers.
Beyond clinical care, Genesis Healthcare is deeply involved in community outreach, participating in events annually and reinvesting in the Darlington community through sponsorships and support initiatives.

Across its Darlington County locations, Genesis Healthcare offers primary and preventive care including gynecology and pediatrics, diagnostics, emergency and after-hours care, pharmaceutical services, behavioral and mental health services, and case management.
To further expand healthcare access, Genesis Healthcare recently launched two mobile units, aimed at extending services to underserved and remote areas. Additionally, Genesis Healthcare is in the final phase of a major expansion of its Darlington office, which will include a 12,000-square-foot, two-story addition connected to the recently completed Phase 2 renovations. Once complete, the 48,000-square-foot facility will feature a new dental suite with five dental rooms, a case management suite with eight exam rooms, an imaging suite with a new CT scanner, administrative offices and expanded parking.
