Ex-deputy accused of misconduct
A former Darlington County sheriff’s deputy has been indicted for misconduct in office, the state attorney general’s office says.
Edward Wirhousky is accused of having sex while on duty and letting someone use his official computer, a spokesman for the attorney general told local news media last week. He was indicted by the Darlington County Grand Jury Dec. 5.
The Sheriff’s Office said he has not been employed there since 2017.
