Deputies probe Lamar slaying
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting near Lamar on Sunday night. A man was killed on East Jackson Street outside the Cambridge Apartments, officials said. The victim’s name had not been released as of Monday morning. There was no word on whether authorities had a suspect in the case.
