DCSO contraband search underway

A contraband search was underway this morning at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center in Darlington County. The operation aims to identify and confiscate prohibited items, including weapons, drugs, electronic devices, and other unauthorized materials.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) has enlisted the support of several agencies for this effort, including the South Carolina Department of Corrections, South Carolina Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services, and K-9 units from the Hartsville and Darlington Police Departments.

To ensure the safety of both law enforcement personnel and inmates, the search is being carefully monitored throughout the process.
