DCSD’s Ingram chosen to head Berkeley County School District
The Post and Courier of Charleston is reporting that Darlington County School District Superintendent Dr. Eddie Ingram has been selected as the new superintendent for the Berkeley County School District. Ingram signed a three-year contract Aug. 8. His first day will be Aug. 21.
DCSD issued a statement Aug. 9 about Ingram’s move.
“We appreciate all Dr. Ingram has done for our students, schools and community over the past four years,” said Jamie Morphis, chairman of the Darlington County Board of Education. “Sometimes you are presented with professional opportunities too good to ignore, and we wish Dr. Ingram all the best in his new role in Berkeley County.”
The Darlington County Board of Education will hold a special-called meeting Thursday, August 10, 2017 to discuss employment matters regarding the superintendent. The meeting will be held beginning at 8 a.m. in the training room of the DCSD Administrative Office (120 E. Smith Avenue, Darlington, SC).
