Darlington woman pleads guilty to Burglary, Grand Larceny, Meth charges

Dina Michelle Morris, age 47 of Darlington, SC, pled guilty to Burglary 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny, and Possession With Intent to Distribute (PWID) of Methamphetamine on Monday, March 17, 2025 in Darlington County General Sessions Court. The Burglary and Grand Larceny charges stemmed from an incident on January 10, 2023 where Morris entered a dwelling without consent of the owner to commit larceny in Darlington. The PWID Meth charge occurred on July 30, 2024. Judge Brian Gibbons sentenced the defendant to 6 years incarceration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Solicitor Adam M. Foard.
“Morris confessed to her role in the property crimes,” said Assistant Solicitor Foard. “Then she was charged with PWID Meth for separate incident. Her extensive criminal history merits a prison sentence.”
After the plea, Solicitor Mike Burch thanked Darlington Police Department for their thorough investigation. “Defendants like Dina Morris don’t think fire burns,” said Burch. “My office takes it very seriously when defendants commit new crimes while out on bond.”
Morris’s sentence will be served in a facility to be determined by the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
