Darlington Pilot Club presents special awards
The Darlington Pilot Club recognized two of its members for special awards during their September meeting.
The Outstanding Pilot of the Year award was presented to Angie Campbell. Campbell clearly exemplifies the basic principles of Pilot in her personal and community life, the club said. She is active in all aspects of the Pilot Club, including attending meetings, taking leadership roles and responsibilities, and carrying out service projects and fundraising activities. Campbell currently serves as president-elect of the club.
The Pilot Ambassador award was presented to Belinda Copeland. Copeland was chosen for this honor based on her continuing promotion and support of Pilot International and its activities. She is active in projects that address Pilot’s focus — Youth Development and Leadership, Brain Safety and Fitness, and Caring for Families in Times of Need. Copeland gives generously of her time to assist with service projects and fundraising activities.
Judy Langley, president of the Pilot Club of Darlington, made the presentations.
