Darlington hosts City Clean-Up Day on 9/11.

DARLINGTON HOSTS CLEAN-UP DAY — Saturday, Sept. 11, citizens gathered at the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce to pick up trash, clean flower beds, and put up fall decorations around the Square and neighboring streets in downtown Darlington. Groups that participated were the city of Darlington, Darlington Beautification, the Chamber of Commerce, members of City Council, Genesis, the Girl Scouts and other local volunteers. The group gathered at 9 a.m. and worked until noon. The city holds the Clean-up Darlington event once in the spring and in the fall. PHOTO BY DAWSON JORDAN
