Clean Up Darlington 2021 begins

Twice a year, Darlington citizens and other volunteers gather to clean up our city by picking up litter, pulling weeds, planting flowers and freshening paint. On Saturday, April 17, the City of Darlington Beautification Board began their Spring Clean Up Darlington Day with the Darlington Garden Club and approximately 35-40 volunteers of all ages. Teams met at the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce at 9 a.m., where light refreshments were provided for all. Palmetto Pride supports the event and supplies many of the materials used to collect and transport trash and other debris, including tarps to contain the debris during transit. The event lasts through April 24. Grab a bag, rally your friends and family, put on your safety gear and head outside for a chance to enjoy the outdoors while making a difference.
