Carolina Pines opens new walk-in clinic

Hartsville-based Carolina Pines Medical Group has opened a new practice, Carolina Pines Medical Group Walk-In Clinic. Along with the new practice opening, CPMG has welcomed new provider Angela Williamson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its team. “We are excited to open Carolina Pines Medical Group Walk-In Clinic as an extension of our current primary care practice(s),” said Shauna Cameron, VP of Physician Services at Carolina Pines Medical Group. “The new clinic will serve established patients of Carolina Pines, but also is open to local patients without a primary care provider who have immediate care needs.” Carolina Pines Medical Group Walk-In Clinic provides diagnosis and treatment for acute and urgent care needs including colds, flu, COVID-19, and upper respiratory infections as well as minor injuries including cuts, lacerations, sprains, strains, and broken bones. The clinic also offers X-ray and lab work. As the clinic’s name suggests, patients can conveniently walk in for care five days a week with no appointment necessary. The clinic’s new provider, Angela Williamson, has relocated to the area following three years of work in urgent care settings out of state. Previously, Williamson worked as a Registered Nurse at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) /Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from South University, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Western Governors University. Currently, Williamson is pursuing an additional post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Williamson is seeing patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, at Carolina Pines Medical Group Walk-In Clinic, 701 Medical Park Drive, Suite 103, Hartsville, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
