Butler Heritage Foundation holds Economic Development meeting

 

The Butler Heritage Foundation held their Economic Development and Community Investment Meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2023, on the Butler Foundation campus, located 1103 S. 6th Street in Hartsville. Local dignitaries, city employees, concerned citizens and potential investors met to discuss the ongoing project of upgrading and renovating the buildings on campus which was once Butler High School. The mission of the foundation is to preserve the legacy of Butler High School by establishing a Community and Cultural Center and by providing and supporting diverse programs for all. There were also 6 interested parties participating in the meeting via ZOOM. Butler has always been an educational campus and the group intends it to remain a vital center for education and the empowerment of the community.
