“Business After Hours” at the News & Press
About 40 people attended a Darlington Chamber of Commerce event, “Business After Hours,” on Thursday evening to honor the new management of the Darlington News & Press newspaper and help introduce them to the community. Effective May 1, the Dillon-based Herald Group, publishers of the Dillon Herald, assumed ownership of the newspaper. The Thomas family of Darlington had operated the newspaper for more than 60 years.
