Bus incident leads to arrest

A confrontation at a local bus stop has resulted in criminal charges against a Darlington County man, authorities announced Friday.
Hector Kendall Isaac has been charged with interfering with the operation of a school bus following an altercation with a bus driver. The driver was forced to leave the scene to ensure the safety of both students and himself, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Isaac is currently being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
In response to the incident, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office released a statement emphasizing their partnership with local schools: “The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office works closely with the Darlington County School District to ensure the safety of all students. As a department, we want to make it clear that DCSO has a zero-tolerance policy for any crimes that may potentially result in danger to our children.”
Law enforcement officials did not provide additional details about the nature of the dispute or whether any students were directly affected by the incident.
