Homicide Investigation

Darlington County Sheriff’s Investigators are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a residence on Flat Creek Rd. in Darlington Nov. 29. Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the residence at 11:30 p.m. Investigators are investigating the incident as a homicide. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Crime Scene Unit is assisting.

Murder suspect turns self in

Sheriff Tony Chavis has announced the arrest of Keith Kevin Larry, 24, of Hartsville. Larry turned himself in to Investigators Nov. 28 without incident. Larry is charged with murder for the November 13 shooting death of Quanzavius Tylik Ceasar at a residence on Boss Man Rd. in the Lamar area of Darlington County. Larry will face other charges related to this incident.

Further, Larry has been charged with two counts of armed robbery for the November 10 armed robbery of the United Gas Station and the November 13 armed robbery of Yogi Mini Mart. Both convenience stores are located on Oates Hwy. in the Lamar area of Darlington County.

“I am proud of my investigators for continuing the effort to locate this suspect and thankful for all the support we received from other agencies,” Sheriff Tony Chavis said.

These cases remain under investigation. Shooting Investigation

Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a local hospital by hospital staff at approximately 9 p.m. Nov. 28 due to an individual being brought by a personal vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Currently, the victim and individuals accompanying the victim to the hospital are not cooperating with Deputies. Due to the lack of cooperation, Deputies are unable to determine where the shooting incident occurred.
