Woman accused of attempted murder

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office has charged a woman with attempted murder after an April 28 shooting in the county.
Marta Jaimes Castaneda was charged with attempted murder and pointing and presenting a firearm, according to the DCSO. Deputies were called to the 3000 block of Fieldcrest Road after reports of a man being shot. Castaneda is accused of shooting the victim in the chest with a semi-automatic rifle.
She was being held in the Darlington County jail without bond.
