William Johnson “Joe” Bryant
William Johnson Bryant “Joe” went home to Jesus on Nov. 21, 2021, at age 55. Joe was born on Aug. 9, 1965, in Darlington to Roy and Joann Bryant. He graduated from St. John’s High School in 1983. He furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical College majoring in Diesel & Auto Mechanics. He resided in the Mechanicsville community of Darlington. Joe worked for Nucor Steel Mill for many years. In addition to being a loving father, Joe also loved Clemson football, the Atlanta Braves and golf. Joe joins his dad, Roy Bryant, niece Jonna Huggins, grandparents Alvin and Lucille Bryant and Carl and Ruby Johnson in Heaven. He is survived by three children, Landon Bryant of Darlington, Emilye Bryant and Lawson Bryant of Bonneau. His mother, Joann Bryant of Darlington, siblings Jimmy Bryant (Rene’) of Darlington, Laurie Keesey (Lin) of Lexington and Barbara Huggins (Mitch) of Darlington, and nieces and nephews, Janci Cannon (PJ) of Dunnellon, Fla., Carol Anne Taylor (Kyle) of Hanahan, Frannie Clark (Drew) of North Myrtle Beach, Charlie Bryant of Summerville, Laurin Headly (Ian) of Rock Hill, Joshua Keesey (Elizabeth) of Lexington, Bryant Huggins (Cortney) of Darlington, and many great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at Mechanicsville Baptist Church.
